Chameleon Startup Manager

If you are a Windows user, then you know that the operating system loads a list of programs at startup. Most of the times, you can safely disable some of these startup items, for making Windows load faster. The problem is what tool to use for this purpose. You could use the msconfig application, which comes with Windows, for controlling startup programs, but unfortunately, this tool is very limited and it's also difficult to use by most users.

Instead, you could install and use Chameleon Startup Manager, a specialized Windows program which allows you to control which applications and tools should be loaded at Windows startup and which not. After installing and launching the program, you will be able to clearly see a list of all startup items. With just a single mouse click, you can enable or disable any of the programs from the list.

According to the type of program, Chameleon Startup Manager automatically organizes all of them into several categories. For example, you can see which tools are programmed to run at system startup using the registry. When clicking on a startup item, you can enable or disable it, you can configure that specific tool to run in administrator mode or you can just view the location of the program. This last feature is useful when you are dealing with viruses that load on Windows startup, as you will be able to view the location of the infected file and easily delete it.
